Presentation Summary:   The popularity of Agile methodologies has grown significantly in recent years – so much so that PMI has even added an Agile-PM certification.

This presentation will focus on the implications of managing a project using Agile methodologies, delivered by someone who has ‘been there, done that’ as a PM and software developer.  Expect to learn how managing an Agile project changes the role of a Project Manager, and what it takes to transform to using an Agile approach to project management.

Note:  This is the second of a 2-part series on Agile methodologies and implications to how we manage projects.  We hope you can join us for both sessions, but each session will be valuable on its own (if you can only make one).

Speaker Bio:

Matt Barcomb (@mattbarcomb) is passionate about building collaborative, cross-functional teams; enjoys being out-of-doors; loves punning; and thrives on guiding organizations towards holistic, sustainable, emergent improvement. Matt started programming as a wee lad and eventually wound up getting paid for it. It took him nearly 10 years before he realized that the "people problem" was the biggest issue facing most software development. Since then he has spent his time and energy trying to find interesting ways of making the business-software universe a better place to work, play and do business.
