Northeast Ohio Chapter of PMI “Outstanding Volunteer” award

Our chapter exists as the result of hard work by many volunteers. Our chapter uses the “Outstanding Volunteer” award on a quarterly basis to recognize past outstanding efforts and encourage future outstanding efforts.

Instructions

1. Nominations are submitted by PMINEO chapter members in good standing:
   1. The nomination is simply sent as an email addressed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The email should contain (a) the name of the nominee (b) the name of the project or task involved (c) background describing how this person went “above and beyond” in their effort and why this nomination should be the winner

1. For example: “I nominate John Doe for running the June 2011 chapter meeting. John took it upon himself to recruit a panel speaker for the program, he coordinated the creation of the program content, and he hosted the program. The program was well attended and very well received by the audience. “
2. The awards officer will publicize reminders for the nomination calls as needed, through chapter email blasts and chapter meeting announcements.
3. The awards officer will accumulate nominations:
   1. Nominations will be accumulated for a given quarter, up to a published deadline date.
   2. The awards officer will review submissions for clarity and completeness.
   3. The awards officer will submit the batch of nominations for the quarter to the PMINEO board for selection of a winner
4. The board will review the nominations and select a winner:
   1. The board will select the winner based on evidence of outstanding personal effort, creativity or some other special effort that provided a significant benefit to the chapter.
5. The awards officer will provide follow-up for the winner:
   1. The winner will be announced in the next chapter email blast and the next chapter meeting.
   2. The portion of the chapter website will be updated to include the most recent winner.
